The Summer Incubator is a six-week sprint that provides student founders a focused period to build their startups, participate in foundational entrepreneurship workshops, connect with alumni and mentors, and establish a footprint in Baltimore’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Program Structure and Pace

Sessions are held in person, Monday through Friday, from 10 am to 2 pm at the Pava Center, for six weeks of intensive startup development, mentorship, and hands-on work. Participants commit to at least 20 hours per week in the co-working space, with structured sessions, workshops, guest appearances, and opportunities to engage with the broader Baltimore ecosystem.

Lunch is provided at least weekly, and participants will have access to industry field trips and other immersion activities designed to accelerate progress and practical outcomes. Regularly scheduled workshops and guest sessions reinforce core entrepreneurial skills and deliver experiential learning.

Community and Mentorship

The Summer Incubator brings together a diverse cohort of student ventures, all working to deepen their startup foundations within Baltimore’s ecosystem. The program provides robust mentorship and networking opportunities with industry leaders and mentors, access to alumni and professionals, and connections to peers across a wide range of industries.

Funding and Pathways

Participants receive a stipend of $4,500, paid out in two portions to support full-time startup work. The Summer Incubator serves as a steppingstone toward ongoing opportunities in funding and accelerator tracks.
